BEFORE & AFTER

Project:

Organise a master bedroom for feature on a national Australian television show featuring Peter Walsh. Karen Koedding had the fantastic opportunity to work with Peter on this project.

This newly blended family has 6 children, with 4 of them living full time and 2 part time in this home. They are always on the go. Their home has limited storage, so some of the children's clothing is in the Master Bedroom. It all became too much and the client was overwhelmed by the project. The client said that she would pull something quickly out of the wardrobe and shut the doors quickly to avoid looking at the disorganisation. They really wanted to make space for the man of the house to add his clothing to the wardrobe, and to create a serene room for them to "escape" to.

We sorted through everything in the room: clothing, shoes, coats, paperwork, photos, linens, knick knacks. We moved the filing cabinet to the rumpus room with the computer. We organised the wardrobe and the room, cleared out under the bed, shopped for new linens, and styled the room for filming purposes. The client donated 10 huge bags of clothing, and had 6 bags of rubbish.
